WOW. I have stayed in tons of B&B's, and this is one of the nicest. Parking was a little tricky, but Thomas came to my aide immediately and even carried one of my heavy bags. The room exceeded my expectations in size and comfort. The bed and shower were luxurious, the temperature was perfect, and it was nice to have so much space. It was also located just 15 minutes from the museum district. I would absolutely return! - Gabrielle

Thomas was a great host and answer and catered to all our questions and concerns right away. The space was even more beautiful than pictured. It was squeaky clean, and the amenities included were great for the price of the place. I would 100% stay here again if I were to visit Houston. We felt very safe in the area and we were very pleased with our stay.

The worst thing this place had to offer, was that I could not pull myself to ever leave. I cancelled meetings and turned off my phone, and refused to leave. Location is great. Took us 5 mins to get to Midtown. Price for value: I would book now cuz this place is worth double what he is charging. If you like to sleep, this bed is top notch. You melt away in the pillows. I don't think I've ever heard my husband snore so loud. That's how good he slept as did I. This room should be called the Emperor's Palace instead of suite because it is definitely built for a King and Queen. I expected nice but the pics do not do this place justice. The attention to detail from Thomas was inspiring to say the least. I spent a lot of time in the bathroom. The jacuzzi tub was super relaxing. The shower was just amazing!!!!! We loved our stay here. The decor was unique and the place was very clean. The backyard area with the pool/hot tub is enclosed and lovely. Thomas was a really great host and was very gracious and quick to respond when we needed help.

The Roman suite is the bee’s knees. Between the Japanese suite and the Roman, I’d choose the Roman every time. It’s spacious, luxurious, and perfect for romantic getaways,as I used it for this past Christmas. Thomas welcomed my girlfriend and I,as he was well tuned into our needs during our stay.We used the hot tub (smaller than expected but still suitable for seating two), but the bubble bath stuff weren’t there. Thomas reimbursed me for buying some Dr.Teal’s during our stay. Wine glasses, plates, and lighting,and decor really sealed the deal on this place’s vibe. Would def recommend. - William

This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Houston but away from the chaos. The space is gorgeous with multiple skylights that look wonderful in the morning. Check in is easy. Everything about this place is beautiful there are so many little touches that make the space special. I would defiantly stay here again! Simply put, the [Emperor's] Boutique Suite is your home away from home while staying in Houston. The Emperor's Suite has an elegant timeless appeal.
I visited Houston for work and was in town for a week. The Suite is nestled downtown and the location was great. Plenty of access to some of the best restaurants, bars, art galleries, and museums that Houston has to offer. Easy access to major highways offering access to different parts of the City. This is the perfect stay, from a stay-cation to a getaway.
This place truly feels like your home away from home, such attention to every detail created a beautiful designed suite. After a full day of meetings, all I wanted to have was a space to kick back and relax and relish in what was to come for the rest of the evening. You are in your own space and feel welcomed from the moment you arrive.
Whether it’s the grand four-poster bed with a beautiful view of the fire place or the spacious and attractive bathroom which invites you to relax under a rainfall shower you will feel comfortable in the Emperor’s Suite and the unique escape it has to offer.
Flawless communication with the host through both texts and emails. Thomas was very friendly but gives you all the space you need. Don’t worry about needing a thing while staying with here, all I had to do was ask. From a fan, to an iron, to gorgeous smelling toiletries for the Jacuzzi tub and a cozy kitchenette stocked with coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
During my stay three new suites where opened by the host! All three where rented, however I was here for a week so I was able to view the new suites and they are just as welcoming. If the Emperor’s suite were booked I would not hesitate to experience one of the others.
These boutique style suites are a competitive value that's hard to match in a neighborhood renowned for luxury and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone planning to visit Houston area. - Lacey

Absolutely loved this place! I booked this place last minute after some travel plans fell through and I needed a cozy place to stay without breaking the bank. My room was absolutely amazing, Thomas was available and responded quickly. The bed and shower were great, unfortunately I wasn’t able to enjoy the pool (which is right outside your room!) due to weather. I will definitely be staying here or at one of Thomas’ other properties when I visit again! A hotel could never beat this!

I truly enjoyed it and had the experience I was looking for, spot on description. The tub was my most favorite part, the water is a great temperature and stays hot forever! The skylight was perfect for bath time. I literally took 4 baths in my 2 day stay. The fireplace was perfect, didn’t make the room overly hot. The bed so comfortable and plush pillows. I always travel with my own pillow but I opted for theirs instead. Very secluded and private, felt very safe and tucked away. Can easily sleep in and it still be very dark if you draw the thick velvet curtains. Easy going hosts, communicate quickly. Perfect staycation or even for some quality alone time. I’ll be coming here monthly for self-care, and I’m a massage therapist, so I know self-care. Trust me this spot is THE SPOT!

Thomas’ place exceeded all expectations. Thomas was very responsive and always replied within a couple minutes to messages. The place itself was exceptionally clean and very spacious with lots of light and a luxurious atmosphere. Parking is a little complicated at first but Thomas gave clear instructions and we had no problem with it after. If you are hesitant about getting a place that isn’t in an apartment building I recommend trying something new and staying at Thomas’ place because we were also hesitant at first but took the chance and got what we paid for and even more.

In one word: Exquisite! We stayed here for Valentine's Day and it was just perfect! Everything about it was perfect. From Thomas' quick response, the whole experience was a dream! Thomas and James spared no expense in making this an Airbnb stand apart from the rest. From the red carpet to the impressive wall art of Audrey and Marilyn, from the sleek entrance lamps to the convex mirror above the sleigh bed, and from the quality silverware to the thoughtful coffee creamer, from the comfortable couch to the perfect card playing table, we were delighted in every corner of this spacious suite. We were swept away in this getaway. Not to mention the luscious bathroom with a beautifully-tiled shower room and separate sun-filled bath tub room - (a perfect fit for two!). And there is an enormous closet lined with wood panels. The light dimmers provide the perfect lighting in every room. Oh! and the porches are such a treat too. Only pick this place to stay at if you want to be EXTREMELY comfortable and relaxed. From the mattress to the hot tub and shower, everything was great. It felt like being at home but better. Perfect place for our Valentine's Day weekend. PLUS, it was close to anything and everything you wanted see and eat. I'll definitely be back again. - Ashley

Thomas's place is amazing! We felt like we were vacationing in a palace in Rome. You can tell how much thought and care was put into this beautifully decorated space from the marble floors to the mood lighting. Everything was bright, new and sparkling clean; featuring plush linens and extra comfy beds. I especially loved the thoughtful extra touches ; candles by the tub, makeup remover wipes and an large umbrella to use (which came in handy since we arrived during a downpour). The place is amazing. Sky lights, multiple windows, a huge master bed. The bathroom is a world of its own with a spectacular shower and a gigantic jacuzzi tub. There’s more than enough space for you and other guests. Private on site parking and easy to find. Well worth it

We had a nice stay at Thomas’s place. The place looked as advertised. The beds were very comfortable and all the rooms were very spacious. We also enjoyed a lovely fireplace. The location is convenient - close to good restaurants and downtown. The communication was excellent and all our questions were answered very quickly. We would recommend this place!

Thomas has an amazing place. The huge bed, the large tv, and fireplace made the bedroom feel like a five-star experience. The bathroom was even more amazing. The jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower, and spacious counter spaces were just as impressive. I would highly recommend staying here especially for the price point.
